Astrology and the Full Moon

Astrology and the Full Moon

In astrology, lunations are key times. New moons and full moons delineate monthly cycles. The full moon is seen as a time of culmination and completion. It's a time when emotions run high, and we may feel a sense of tension or release. The full moon is also associated with illumination and clarity, as it sheds light on what has been hidden or obscured.

In general, the astrological sign that the full moon occurs in can provide some insight into the themes and energies of the time. For example, a full moon in Aries may be a time of assertiveness and courage, while a full moon in Pisces may be a time of heightened intuition and emotional sensitivity.

The location of the full moon is always 180 degrees opposite the sun. We see the full moon because the sun's light is illuminated on the moon like a mirror. The moon does not generate any light on its own, it only reflects the light of the sun. At the full moon, due to the complete opposition in the sky, we see the moon's entire disc illuminated. So to know where the full moon is, all you need to know is what sun sign period you are in, and the full moon will always be located in the opposite sign. For example, when the sun is in Aries, the full moon will always be in Libra. When the sun is in Taurus, the full moon will always be in Scorpio, and so forth.

It's important to remember that astrology is just one tool for understanding ourselves and the world around us. Ultimately, our lives are shaped by a combination of factors, including our own choices, experiences, and circumstances.
